The Usage panel gives you a real-time view of how many credits you have left and exactly where they went. Every AI generation — from a quick build turn to a full planning session — appears as a line item with its cost, model, token counts, and timestamp. Reviewing usage regularly helps you understand which prompts are expensive and adjust your workflow to stay within your credit budget.

Where to find it

Open Settings from the 10x toolbar or the gear icon, then select Usage from the sidebar. The panel loads your current account data from the server. If the data is still loading, placeholder rows appear briefly while 10x fetches your balance and charge history.

Overview section

At the top of the Usage panel, the Overview card shows your high-level credit position at a glance:
  • Available balance — your total credits remaining, shown as a large number at the top of the card.
  • Today left — credits remaining within your daily cap, if your plan has one.
  • Today used — credits spent today.
  • Latest spend — the cost of your most recent generation, with a short preview of the prompt.
If you have an active subscription, the card also shows your plan name, billing interval, and the date your current period ends.

Balances section

When your account has multiple credit sources — for example, a monthly subscription allowance alongside a one-time credit pack — the Balances section lists each bucket separately with its remaining amount. Credits that are expiring soon show the expiry date so you know which to use first.

Recent usage list

Below the overview, the Recent Usage list shows every AI charge tied to your account, from newest to oldest. Each row displays:
  • Prompt preview — the first line of the message that triggered the generation, or a task-type label (for example, “Plan” or “Build”) if no preview is available.
  • Date and time — when the generation ran.
  • Summary label — a short description of the task type and model.
  • Credit cost — the amount charged, shown in the right column. Rows that cost nothing are labelled Free in green.

Expanding a row

Click any usage row to expand it and see the full details for that generation: Click the row again to collapse it.

Free operations

Some operations cost zero credits — for example, certain status checks or lightweight tasks that do not invoke a billable AI model. These rows appear in the list with Free displayed in the cost column so you can distinguish them from paid generations at a glance.

Image generation charges

Image generation is billed separately from text-based AI generations. Image rows show the number of images produced rather than token counts, and the cost reflects the per-image pricing for the model used.

Using usage data to manage costs

Sort through the Recent Usage list and look at the Input and Output columns after expanding rows. Prompts that produce very large output token counts — such as requests to rewrite the entire app from scratch — are the costliest. Breaking large tasks into smaller, focused prompts typically reduces cost per generation.
The Today used and Today left tiles in the Overview card update in real time. Check them before starting a long build session to make sure you have enough credits to complete the work.
Each usage row shows the prompt preview, which usually contains enough context to identify which project or feature the charge belongs to. Use this to understand which projects are driving the most consumption before deciding where to invest more credits.
If you need more credits, open Settings > Billing to upgrade your plan or purchase a credit pack without leaving the app.
