10x uses a credit-based model to power its AI features. Every time the AI generates a plan or builds part of your app, it consumes credits from your account balance. You get credits either through a subscription plan — which refreshes your allowance on a monthly cycle — or through one-time credit packs that you can top up at any time.
The Billing section in Settings is only available when you are signed in to a 10x account.

Where to manage billing

You can reach your billing options in two ways:
  • Open Settings > Billing from inside 10x.
  • Click View Plans And Packs on the home screen when your credit balance is low.
Both paths open the same Stripe-powered checkout experience where you can subscribe to a plan or purchase a credit pack.

Plans vs credit packs

A subscription plan gives you a fixed monthly credit allowance that renews at the start of each billing period. Plans are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually depending on the option you choose. Your current plan name, billing interval, and the date your period ends are shown in Settings > Usage.Subscriptions are best if you use 10x regularly and want a predictable credit budget each month.
Credit packs are a one-time purchase that adds credits directly to your balance without starting a subscription. Packs do not expire until you use them. They are useful for topping up when your monthly allowance runs low or when you want to try 10x without committing to a plan.

What uses credits

Credits are consumed each time the AI runs a generation — this includes both the planning step (where the AI designs your app concept) and each build turn (where it writes or modifies SwiftUI code). The exact cost per generation depends on:
  • The AI model used — different models have different costs per token.
  • The number of input and output tokens — longer prompts, larger codebases, and more detailed outputs consume more tokens and therefore more credits.
Image generation is billed separately and shows its own line item in Settings > Usage, including the number of images generated. Some operations cost zero credits and are marked Free in your usage history.

Making a payment

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you select a plan or credit pack, 10x opens a Stripe checkout page in your browser. After you complete payment, your credit balance updates automatically in the app.
Check Settings > Usage to see your remaining balance and recent charges before purchasing additional credits. You may have unused credits from a current pack or plan.
Subscription management, including cancellation, is handled through the Stripe customer portal. Open Settings > Billing and look for the option to manage your subscription, which links you to the Stripe portal.
Monthly subscription credits do not roll over to the next billing period. Credit pack credits persist until you use them. Check Settings > Usage > Balances to see how your credits are split between subscription allowance and any packs you have purchased.
10x offers a free plan tier. The free plan includes a limited credit allowance. When your credits run out, upgrade to a paid plan or purchase a credit pack from Settings > Billing to continue using AI features.
