When you open 10x for the first time, the app runs a quick system check to confirm that Xcode and an iOS 26+ simulator are ready on your Mac. Once both requirements pass, the sign-in screen appears and you can connect your account before building your first app.
You need a 10x account to use AI features and to sync your projects. Without signing in, only offline local development is available.

System check

Before the sign-in options appear, 10x verifies two requirements:
  • Xcode installed — Xcode must be installed from the App Store and opened at least once so its build tools are licensed and ready.
  • iOS 26+ simulator available — An iPhone simulator running iOS 26 or later must exist in your Xcode installation.
If either check fails, the screen shows an action button next to the failing requirement. Click it to let 10x guide you through the fix — for example, Get Xcode opens the App Store, Download iOS downloads the simulator runtime, and Create iPhone creates a simulator device. The screen re-checks automatically every few seconds, so it updates as soon as your environment is ready. Once both checks show a green checkmark, click Continue to reach the sign-in step.

1

Open 10x

Launch 10x from your Applications folder. The system check screen appears automatically on first launch.
2

Pass the system check

Wait for both requirements — Xcode installed and iOS 26+ simulator available — to show a green checkmark. Resolve any failures using the action buttons provided.
3

Sign in with Google

Click Sign in with Google. 10x opens a browser window for you to complete Google sign-in. Return to 10x once the browser confirms you are signed in.
If the browser does not open automatically, check that your default browser is set in System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Default web browser.

Sign out

To sign out, open Settings from the 10x menu bar or the gear icon in the app, then find the sign-out option in the General section.
A Continue without Auth path is available for local development workflows where you do not need AI generation or project sync. This mode limits you to offline features only and is not intended for regular use.
Make sure Xcode is fully installed and that you have opened it at least once after installation to accept the license agreement. If the iOS simulator is missing, click Download iOS and wait for the download to finish — this can take several minutes depending on your connection speed. The screen checks again automatically; you do not need to refresh it manually.
Close and reopen 10x. If the problem persists, click Back to system check at the bottom of the sign-in screen and then click Continue again to retry.
